TPR by Viñales Racing secured their first triple FIM Superbike Superbike finish of the year in the latest round of the series at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli – their first of two home races.

Rider Isaac Viñales was much more comfortable than in the opening two races that the team had contested, as the Spanish rider continued his adaption to the Kawasaki superbike machine.

Improving throughout the three Free Practice sessions, Viñuales qualified twenty-third ahead of the two twenty-lap feature races and the ten lap Tissot-Superpole race. With perfect weather conditions and almost 71,000 fans enjoying the event trackside the #32 rider dug deep to finish twentieth, and seventeenth in the opening two races before narrowly missing out on his and the team’s first world championship point of the year in sixteenth.

The team now make the journey to the UK for the next round at the end of June with the intention to continue in the positive way that they were able to during #EmiliaRomagnaWorldSBK

Isaac Viñales:
“It has been a positive weekend. We have made good progress compared to Montmelo. We were fighting the entire race with the other Kawasaki satellite riders and in race two on Sunday we almost got a point, which shows the step we have made. I want to thank the team for the work done and look forward to continuing with the progress at Donington Park!”

Lucio Pedercini – Team Principal:
“We finished all three races and were much more competitive than in Assen at Catalunya which is pleasing. Sunday’s second race saw us close to the points and we left Misano with Isaac much more comfortable with the bike. We are motivated for the UK round and to see what we can achieve together there.”
