Isaac and TPR Team Pedercini look forward to Autodrom Most after challenging Imola

It was a difficult weekend for TPR Team Pedercini and their sole rider Isaac Vinales in the latest round of the FIM Superbike World Championship at the iconic Imola circuit close to Bologna in Italy.

Soaring temperatures during the weekend, the team’s second ‘home’ race of the year also made things challenging for both rider and team at a track which saw struggles for a number of the ‘independent’ teams.

Qualifying x Isaac was forced to retire in Saturday’s opening race, he crashed out of Sunday’s second feature race. He finished twenty second in the Superpole race on Sunday morning.

Never looking back, Isaac and the team are already focused on the next round of the series at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic at the end of July.

Isaac Vinales:
“It has been a difficult weekend. In Superpole and in race one we had mechanical problems and in race two we crashed. We finished the sprint race but not where we expected. It has not been a good weekend for us but now it is time to turn the page and think about the next race. Thank you to the team for their work in the heat. It was not easy for all of us but we never gave up.”

Lucio Pedercini:
“I don’t really know what to say. It was a difficult weekend for us with a number of issues that we tried to resolve. Isaac gave his best in extreme temperatures but was forced to stop in race one with a technical problem. He finished the Superpole race and then sadly crashed yesterday afternoon in race two. The main thing is that he is fine and we can go again in a couple of weeks. I want to thank the whole team for enduring the incredible heat which was hotter than I can ever remember in World Superbike.”
